Arts Council seeks volunteers for returning snow sculptures

Winter Carnival Snow Sculptures are back. To make the sculptures a success, the Steamboat Springs Arts Council and Creative District are asking volunteers to join for a ‘Pack the Powder Party’ Wednesday, Feb. 8, to help build the giant snow blocks competing teams will turn into works of art. Participants will judge the winning community snow sculpture.

Participants are asked to sign up for shifts between 12:30 and 6 p.m. at signup.com/go/xys6el.

Volunteers should meet at the Steamboat Springs Art Depot, 1001 13th Street, and are invited back afterward to socialize, network and enjoy complimentary beer, wine and appetizers.

Surveys will be emailed to participants after the snow sculptures are complete Thursday, Feb. 9, and each participant will receive one vote for the winning community sculpture.
