Comcast Sports creates feature on Howelsen Hill

With the support of the city of Steamboat Springs, “100 Years at Howelsen,” produced by Comcast Sports and released Jan. 21, documents the 100-year evolution of Howelsen Hill and the training programs of the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club that distinguish Howelen Hill from all other training facilities in the U.S.

“100 Years at Howelsen” looks at what the SSWSC provides to athletes on an individual basis. For some members, becoming an Olympian is the end goal. For others, winter sports are a gateway to finding and developing other passions as the kids develop. To all the athletes, the coaches of the SSWSC are role models and guidance counselors who offer stability well beyond the scope of their on-snow training.

Watch the movie, “100 Years at Howelsen,” at the following times on CET:

■ Wednesday at 2 p.m.

■ Friday at 4:30 p.m.

■ Saturday at 3:30 and 9:30 p.m.
