Tickets for Oct. 24 Bust of Steamboat on sale now

The seventh annual Bust of Steamboat is from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 24 at Three Peaks Grill. Twenty bras will be submitted by local artists for a live auction to raise money for breast cancer awareness. A 2009 season ski pass to Steamboat Ski Area goes to the highest bidder.

In the past, bras have been designed with a variety of media and materials such as photography, paint, stone, metal and water.

You can preview bras and busts at local banks during October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Go to the event to bid, watch the auction or vote with $1 bills for the “Bust of Show,” awarded to the designer whose bra receives the most votes. Guests will enjoy live jazz music, world-class hors d’ oeuvres and wine.
