The roundtable is a result of the “Colorado Water for the 21st Century” Act passed by the Legislature in 2006. Nine roundtables were established for each of the state’s major river basins and the Denver metropolitan area. These roundtables facilitate discussions about water issues and encourage locally driven collaborative solutions. The broad-based, collaborative nature of this process is reflected in the roundtable membership.

The roundtable meets quarterly at different locations throughout the basins. The October meeting is Oct. 22 at Northwestern Colorado Community College in Rangely.
