Bud Werner Memorial Library’s Reading by the River teen program begins at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday next to the Yampa River outside the library at Lincoln Avenue and 13th Street. Food assistance available from LIFT-UP
The LIFT-UP of Routt County offices in Hayden, Oak Creek and Steamboat Springs are distributing USDA commodities for the second quarter of 2008 through the federal Emergency Food Assistance Program.
Each eligible household may receive food from the program once a quarter.
The quarterly distribution ends June 30. Call 870-8804, from 1 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, to inquire about income eligibility and hours of operation for each office.
