Steamboat Art Museum seeking volunteers

The Steamboat Art Museum is in need of volunteers for two- or three-hour shifts, Tuesdays to Sundays. Museum hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays. Training will be provided and volunteers can train to be docents of upcoming exhibits. Call Nancy at 846-0504 or the museum at 870-1755.

Deadline for Ski Corp. grants is Tuesday

Steamboat Ski and Resort Corp.’s Employee Environmental Fund, through the Yampa Valley Community Foundation, annually awards grants to support charitable projects that benefit environmental issues in Routt and Moffat counties. Funds may be requested for nonprofit organizations contributing to improvement or development of environmental projects, programs or facilities. Projects must have public access and approval of property owners. Two copies of the grant application must be received by Tuesday at the YVCF offices, 465 Anglers Drive, Suite 2G, or be postmarked to P.O. Box 881869, Steamboat Springs, CO 80488. Applications can be found online at http://www.yvcf.org, under the grants tab.
