Electrical fire causes minor damage to home
Steamboat Springs — A small electrical fire caused minor exterior damage to a Steamboat Springs home early Wednesday.
Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue responded to the 300 block of Blackberry Lane shortly after 5 a.m. Wednesday. The homeowners were able to contain the flames with a fire extinguisher before fire crews arrived, Assistant Fire Chief Bob Struble said.
Fire personnel remained on scene to assess damage and ensure the fire had been fully extinguished. No one was injured, Struble said.
Conservation district to elect directors
A Routt County Conservation District election will be held from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 6. Three directors will be elected to serve four-year terms. Self-nomination and acceptance forms are available from Sarah Hagenbuch of the Routt County Conservation District, 1475 Pine Grove Road, Suite 201a, in Steamboat Springs.
