Kleckler chosen as 7th Reader of the Week

Jenna Kleckler, 8, was chosen as the seventh Reader of the Week in the annual Summer Reading program through Hayden Public Library. Her parents are Kevin and Carrie Kleckler. Jenna’s brothers are Andrew, who is 11, and Lewis, who will be 5 soon. The family has a border collie named Daisy.

Jenna has lived in Hayden her whole life. She enjoys playing with Lillian, her American Doll, and having sleepovers with her friends Kita and Amaya.

Her favorite color is green and favorite food is pizza with cheese, pepperoni and Canadian bacon. Her favorite book is “The Little Princess” by Frances Burnett. Jenna enjoys the movie “How to Train Your Dragon 2,” and is a Broncos fan. She also participates in horseback riding lessons and ballet. Jenna hopes to become a professional horseback rider for rodeos and shows when she grows up.

Jenna is entering the third grade in September and writing is her favorite subject.

The family enjoyed a three-week road trip to the East Coast earlier this summer.

Jenna’s advice for younger readers is, “Never judge a book by its cover.” She was “very happy” when she was chosen as Reader of the Week. Her food choice is hard-boiled eggs for our End of Summer Reading Party on Thursday.
