Alcohol Responsibility Training class is Friday
Grand Futures Prevention Coalition is hosting a Steamboat Springs Alcohol Responsibility Training class from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Steamboat Springs Community Center. The class is an accepted certification for alcohol responsibility training for servers, distributors and sellers of alcoholic beverages in Steamboat Springs. The cost is $35, and registration is required by calling Kate at 970-879-6188.
Upcoming courses at CMC include meat processing
■ Wild Game and Meat Processing is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. The class will cover proper handling of meat from harvest to preparation to enhance the flavor and safety of the end product. The cost is $39.
■ Become a Proficient Baby Sitter is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 8 and Dec. 7. The course for students ages 11 and older will cover safety and play for infants and toddlers, how to handle emergency and usual situations, diapering, feeding and payment. The cost is $45 for each class.

Teachers invited to join in archery certification program
Colorado Parks and Wildlife invites teachers to participate in Basic Archery Instructor Certification workshops through the Colorado Archery in the Schools Program.
Interested teachers will be trained as basic archery instructors in October in Colorado Springs and Denver. Once trained, teachers can submit applications for equipment grants for an in-school physical education or outdoor education program that teaches international-style target archery for students in grades 4 to 12, according to a news release.

Airport art, craft show is Nov. 2 sponsored by YVRA
