Steamboat briefs: County awaiting toxicology report in Keith Dady’s death

— Routt County Coroner Rob Ryg still is waiting on toxicology results before the autopsy of Steamboat Springs resident Keith Dady can be completed, he said Tuesday.

Ryg said the toxicology results are complete but that he’s had difficulty contacting the Arapahoe County Coroners Office, which outsourced that portion of the autopsy.

Dady, 36, died Dec. 9 in Denver after a Dec. 4 fight with his roommate, Joshua Burns. Police have said the roommates scuffled and that Dady suffered a head injury.

Steamboat Springs police Detective Nick Bosick said Tuesday that a decision about whether to pursue charges against Burns wouldn’t be made until after the department reviews the completed autopsy report. That decision will be made in conjunction with the 14th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, he said.
