Steamboat briefs: City Hall to be open today and Saturday for voting

— Steamboat Springs City Hall, 137 10th St., will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. today and from 7:30 a.m. to noon Saturday so residents can drop off their ballots on the Steamboat 700 annexation. City Hall will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, the final day of voting. All ballots must be received by 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The extended office hours are for issuing and accepting special election ballots only. For more information or if you have not received a ballot, contact City Clerk Julie Franklin at 970-871-8248 or jfranklin@steamboatsprings.net.

Hockey tournaments at Howelsen this weekend

Howelsen Ice Arena and the Steamboat Springs Youth Hockey Association will play host to two tournaments today, Saturday and Sunday.



The Bantam A and B Continental Divide Youth Hockey League tournaments begin today at 2 p.m. Steamboat will field a team in the Bantam A division. Steamboat plays at 7:15 p.m. today against a Colorado Junior Eagles team.

Play will continue Saturday, with championship games Sunday.
