The Colorado High School Activities Association announced Monday that Steamboat Springs boys soccer earned the No. 15 seed for the state championships.

At No. 15, the boys earned a home game in the first round where the team will host No. 18 Denver West at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Gardner Field.

The Sailors managed a 7-6-2 regular season record, going 4-0-1 in their last five. Denver West went 10-4-1 on the season.

The two teams share one common opponent, Bruce Randolph, which both teams closed their regular seasons against. Steamboat defeated Bruce Randolph 8-1 on Saturday while Denver West fell to the same squad 3-2, on Thursday.

Admission to the game will be donation based, according to Steamboat Springs High School Athletic Director Luke DeWolfe.

A QR code for donations will be available at the Gardner Field entrance.
