The Steamboat Art Museum will unveil its newest exhibit, “Colorado Nature Photography Invitational,” Friday.

Featuring photographers who live and work in Colorado, the subject matter spans a variety of locations and subjects.

An opening reception for the new exhibit, which includes Steamboat Springs photographers Jim Steinberg, Jace Romick, Rod Hanna and Abby Jensen, will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Macnab Gallery.

"Colorado is unparalleled for its spectacular beauty, incredible light, diversity of terrain and variety of the seasons," said Rod Hanna, SAM board president and curator of the exhibit. "Western Colorado provides such an unique opportunity to capture nature at its best, and we are so fortunate to live and work in this incredible environment."

Other photographers featured in the exhibit include Dana Stoner, Tom Mangleson, Joshua Hardin, Jason Hatfield, Jim Talaric, Todd Caudle and Monte Trumbull.

In addition to the opening exhibit, a Photographers Roundtable Forum, with a number of the exhibiting photographers participating, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 1.
