Steamboat Alpine boys 2nd, girls 3rd at Winter Park

— The Steamboat Springs High School Alpine ski team continued its late-season push with some strong individual and team results in Winter Park on Friday.

As a team, the boys placed second and the girls took third. McKenzie Millard, the Alpine girls captain, was first overall in the slalom, paced by a fantastic first-run time of 44.54. Lindsey Adler finished ninth for Steamboat.

Mariah Hoots finished 31st and Paige VanArsdale took 49th.



On the boys side, Rio Grabb took fourth and Micah Gibbons took sixth to help the Sailors to their overall 2nd place, 11 points behind first-place Nederland.

Also for the boys, Channing Conner was 12th, Charlie Fisher was 31st and River Ludwick took 33rd. Tangmo Techarukpong finished 38th.
