STAND to host convening for African American experiences in Routt County

The Steamboat Team to Disrupt Anti-Semitism and Discrimination, or STAND, is hosting its eighth public convening at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Bud Werner Library to focus on the stories and experiences of African Americans in Routt County.

Participants will examine local case studies related to discrimination against African Americans and discuss ways the community can better support those facing social injustices. The event will be hosted by Maggie Taylor, Patrick Madden, Alissa Merage and Renzo Walton. All are welcome to attend.

STAND events seek to foster positivity, kindness, awareness and inclusion in Routt County.
