Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club announced on Thursday, Brian Krill will be taking over as the club’s new Executive Director on July 1.

After learning about current Executive Director Sarah Floyd’s intentions to step down, the club’s search committee spent five months looking for a new fit.

Once all applications were reviewed, the committee and the Board of Directors unanimously chose Krill.

Krill is actively working as the Executive Director and Head of School at Sugarbowl Ski Team and Academy in Truckee, California. He will join the staff full-time after the school year concludes at Sugarbowl Academy.

SSWSC’s leadership team will help run the club until Krill’s arrival. The team has worked closely with Floyd to ensure a smooth transition period for all athletes, staff, and community partners.

“This club, as an organization and a community, truly aligns with my professional and personal dedication to create champions on and off the mountain,” Krill said, per release. “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the whole team and community represented by SSWSC, and to be coming ‘home’ to Colorado.”
