Special Christmas services

Area churches are offering a variety of services on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Following is a schedule:

n Steamboat Christian Center, 821 Dougherty Road, will hold a candlelight service from 6 to 7 p.m. today.

n The First Baptist Church of Steamboat Springs, 3200 Divine Way, will hold a service at 6 p.m. today. The service will include a children’s Christmas play.

n Anchor Way Baptist Church, 40650 Anchor Way, will hold a candlelight service at 5:30 p.m. today.

n Mission of Grace Baptist Church in Hayden will hold a candlelight service at 6:30 p.m. today.

n Holy Name Catholic Church, 524 Oak St., will hold a children’s Mass at 4 p.m. today. The church will offer Masses again at 6 p.m. and midnight today. A second 6 p.m. Mass will be in the Sheraton Steamboat Resort Hotel Grand Ballroom. On Saturday, Holy Name will offer Christmas Masses at 8 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the church.

n St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Oak Creek will hold Mass at 9 p.m. today.

n Yampa Bible Church will hold a candlelight service at 7:30 p.m. today.

n St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Ninth and Oak streets, will hold services at 5, 8 and 11 p.m. today. Child care is available at the 5 and 8 p.m. services. The church will have a Christmas Day service at 10 a.m. Saturday.

n The Steamboat Springs Evangelical Free Church will hold a candlelight service featuring guitarist Brent Rowan at 7 p.m. today in Olympian Hall at Howelsen Hill.

n Euzoa Bible Church will hold Christmas Eve services at 5 and 7 p.m. today. The church is at 32305 County Road 38.

n Concordia Lutheran Church, 755 Concordia Lane, will hold Christmas Eve services at 5:30, 7:30 and 10 p.m. today and Christmas Day service at 10 a.m. Saturday.

n The United Methodist Church of Steamboat Springs, Eighth and Oak streets, will hold services at 5, 7, 9 and 11 p.m. today.

n Hayden Congregational Church, 202 E. Jefferson Ave. in Hayden, will host a candlelight service at 7:30 p.m. today.
