Where’s the dish?

Is our local cable company great or what? Last week they gave me 12-plus channels I didn’t ask for or want for $42 a month and if I wanted HBO it is $14 more. The total is $56 a month. I used to have HBO/expanded basic for $45. I’m sure the above makes good sense to them but not to this frustrated customer. Which way to the dish?

Thanks to Ski Corp.

Many thanks to Steamboat Ski and Resort Corp. for its excellent showing on Scholarship Day. Conditions were fantastic. I really feel proud to be able to associated with such a fine organization that dedicates itself to young athletes. Your generosity is exceeded only by your quality of snow and on mountain hospitality.

Way to go Ski Corp.

I would like to publicly thank the Steamboat Ski and Resort Corp. for continuing to support the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club with the annual Scholarship Day. In a community where skiing is so deeply rooted and a great many people rely on it for their livelihood, it is wonderful to see that the resort and the community continue support the local youth.

Awesome opening day

I just wanted to call and say that opening day was awesome. It was great time for a great cause. Thanks to everybody who made it happen.

What’s up with Drake?

I would just like to call and ask, now that the football season is over, what happens to coach Mark Drake? Is our School Board going to address this issue or is the board done?

Sailors football rocks

Congratulations to the Sailors on an outstanding football season. We want all the way to the semifinals and we didn’t need a fifth-year kicker to get there.
