Soroco’s Jace Logan places 3rd at wrestling Tournament of Champions

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — Soroco senior Jace Logan claimed the highest placement of any Routt County wrestler at the Tournament of Champions in Vernal, Utah, this weekend.

Logan, who ranks No. 2 in Class 3A, claimed third place in the 170-pound weight class.

Logan went 5-1 at the tournament, which hosted 35 teams from Wyoming, Utah and Colorado. His one loss came from Zack Johnson, of Maple Mountain High School in Utah. Johnson is ranked No. 2 in Class 5A, according to WrestleUtah.com, and ended the tournament in second place.

Union High School’s Jate Frost came in first. He’s currently No. 1 in Class 3A in Utah.
