Soroco, Steamboat runners shine at cross country meet in Oak Creek

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — Steamboat Springs freshman Bowden Tumminello and Soroco sophomore Alex Colby topped the standings at the boys 5K at Oak Creek with times of 19:28 and 19:38 respectively.

Steamboat junior Josh Bush, sophomore Ezra Moyer and senior Aubrey Morrison finished in third, fourth and fifth places, and Soroco’s Brad Veilleux finished in seventh and Truman Anarella was ninth.

Steamboat finished first overall as a team on the boys side with eight points, Soroco was second with 18 points out of four scoring teams.

The Soroco girls took first overall with 10 points and Steamboat was second with 13 points.
