The Soroco High School girls basketball team couldn’t wrap up its trip to the Meeker Cowboy Shootout with a win, falling Saturday against Cedaredge in the tournament finals, 43-39.

“We were pleased with a lot of stuff, and we saw things we really need to work on,” coach David Bruner said, summing up the 2-1 weekend.

The game was close heading into the fourth quarter, with Cedaredge leading by just one point. The Rams couldn’t quite close that gap, however.

“We just didn’t hit some shots we needed in the second half,” Bruner said.

Next up for Soroco is a trip Thursday to play against Moffat County in the Steamboat Shoot-Out.
