Soroco boys basketball can’t overcome No. 2 Paonia

Ben Ingersoll

— The Soroco boys knew they had a tall order in Tuesday’s pigtail game against No. 2 seed Paonia, but Rams coach Jake Eskridge was optimistic about his team’s chances going in.

But Paonia pulled away from Soroco, downing the Rams, 67-59, and knocking them out of a shot to play district tournament games in their home gymnasium.

Soroco finished the season with a 10-10 record.
