Skier dies after crashing into tree at Breckenridge

BRECKENRIDGE — Authorities say a skier died after crashing into a tree at Breckenridge Ski Resort.

The Summit County Sheriff’s Office says the skier, whose name and age have not been released, crashed on Peak 8 on Thursday morning and died in a first aid room at the resort.

Investigators have not said if he was wearing a helmet. No other information was released.
