Perry-Mansfield board member Paula Salky is hoping the holiday spirit will come to life on the stage of the Julie Harris Theatre as the performing arts school and camp hosts the Very Perry Holiday Sing-Along this Sunday.

“I thought it would be so much fun to do this on the Julie Harris stage,” said Salky. “We wanted to invite people to come and just sing along and help us raise some money for Perry-Mansfield.”

The Sunday show, which Salky compares to Broadway Rave, is slated to begin at 3 p.m., with doors opening at 2:30 p.m., at the Julie Harris Theatre, 40755 Routt County Road 36.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for children, and there is a four-person family package for $35.

Salky said the event will be centered around beloved karaoke classics, Christmas carols, Hanukkah songs and Broadway hits. The audience is encouraged to show up in festive holiday attire or as a favorite Broadway character to add to the fun. Audience members are encouraged to sing along from their seats or to step onto the stage.

“Members of the cast from Cabaret and Perry-Mansfield Players will know which songs they’re going to sing, and they’re going to get up with their family and lead the songs,” Salky said.

There will be special appearances by Santa Claus, Dreidelman and David Jolley, who will be accompanied by his friend Kermit the Frog.

“He’s going to sing, he’s going to have the frog there, then he’s also going to bring out his favorite crooner and sing some Frank Sinatra holiday songs,” Salky said

Rabbi Kolby Morris-Dahary will be on hand to sing some Hanukkah tunes and lead the choral festivities.

The event will be a fundraiser for Perry-Mansfield, the oldest continuously operating summer performing arts camp in the United States.

Founded in 1913 by Charlotte Perry and Portia Mansfield, Perry-Mansfield Arts School and Camp has long been a haven for artistic exploration and has provided training in dance, theater, music and creative writing.

“All proceeds for the event will go toward preserving the rich legacy of founders Charlotte Parry and Portia Mansfield, ensuring another century of inspiration and creativity,” Salky said. “This family-friendly event is the perfect way to celebrate the season with your loved ones while supporting a cornerstone of the performing arts community.”
