Samantha Lee: Thank you Steamboat Today for covering student walkout
Dear John Russell and the staff of Steamboat Today,
I’m writing on behalf of myself and the other student organizers to thank you for featuring the March 14 Steamboat Springs High School student walkout in your paper. We are a student-based movement, so having the support of the press is an essential step in helping our message to reach a wider audience.
I know that for me personally, seeing that paper almost brought me to tears. This is an issue that so many of us have felt very strongly about for a long time, and we are so grateful for the respect that you have shown for our ideas and our voices as young adults in this community.
Hopefully, our impact will help to bring about a positive change in our town and our country as a whole.
Thank you again,
Samantha Lee
