Sailors hockey records 3rd win of the season

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — The Steamboat Springs High School hockey team split its games this weekend on the road.

The Sailors lost to Fort Collins, 8-1, on Friday, Jan. 25, then bounced back with a 3-2 win over Palmer on Saturday, Jan. 26.

Tanner Ripley had two goals and Matthew Kempers had one in the contest on Saturday.

The Sailors (3-9) travel to make up their game against Battle Mountain (4-4-2) on Wednesday, Jan. 30, then will host their senior night at Howelsen Ice Arena on Friday, Feb. 1, against the Summit Tigers (4-9-1).
