Sailors beat Aspen 2-0
Steamboat Springs — The Steamboat Sailors girls soccer team beat the Aspen Skiers Thursday in its home opener at Gardener Field. Steamboat won the game 2-0, off scores from Julie Wernig and Jessica Fritz. Wernig scored an unassisted goal 3 minutes into the game and Fritz scored at the 73-minute mark, with an assist from Liz Masterson. The Sailors next play the Glenwood Springs Demons, at 11 a.m. Saturday in Glenwood Springs.
