Ruby Mitchell

Former Routt County resident Ruby Mitchell died Dec. 8, 2004, at the Kenton Manor Nursing Home in Greeley. She was 96.

Ruby was born Oct. 19, 1908, to Nelson J. and Sadie E. Dunckley on a ranch near Oak Creek.

She married Richard D. Mitchell on Dec. 19, 1931, at the Hayden Congregational Church. She attended schools in Dunckley and Hayden.

Ruby was the last member of her generation in her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and three sisters.

Ruby is survived by two nieces, Lois Monroe of Greeley and Audrey Gent of Craig; two nephews, Bob Robinson Jr. of Hayden and John Sellers of Littleton; several grand-nieces and grand-nephews; and several great-grand-nieces and great-grand-nephews.

A funeral service was held Dec. 11, 2004, at the Grant Mortuary Chapel in Craig; interment was at the Hayden Cemetery.
