Rubber duckies to race down Old Town Hot Springs water slide for charity

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — Due to low water on the Yampa River, the fundraiser that typically sends as many as 3,000 rubber ducks racing down the river will be held at Old Town Hot Springs instead.

When: 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25

Where: Old Town Hot Springs, 136 South Lincoln Ave.

There will be several heats with the final 20 ducks earning prizes totaling $3,000 in cash, including a $1,000 grand prize. Winners do not need to be present to win.

Tickets are $10 and available for purchase online or at Old Town Hot Springs. Proceeds from the event will benefit hospice care in Routt County.

Entry to the hot springs will be free for spectators. Parking is available in the hot springs lot on Third Street.
