Routt county riders to lead trail work day

Routt County Riders will lead a trail work day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, on Emerald Mountain. Volunteers are needed to re-establish trails damaged from logging and should meet at the Blackmere Drive gate at 9 a.m. Following the trail work, volunteers can enjoy lunch and beverages provided by New Belgium Brewing Company. Those who bring their bikes can ride down after.

Tools will be provided; volunteers should wear sturdy shoes and bring work gloves, backpack, sunscreen, rain gear, cap and water. Volunteers are asked to sign up at routtcountyriders.org/volunteer/ to ensure there is enough food and beverages.
