Routt County Humane Society receives Petfinder Grant
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — Routt County Humane Society received a $1,000 emergency medical grant from the Petfinder Foundation to assist with surgical and rehabilitation costs for Lolo, a 4-year-old pit bull mix who arrived with a cranial cruciate rupture requiring surgery.
The grant program is used to assist Petfinder members who are caring for a pet that needs special life-saving veterinary care in order to become adoptable. Lolo’s rehabilitation period is 16 weeks, after which she’ll be available for adoption to find her forever home.
