Routt County emergency managers to host Morning Coffee event

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — The Routt County Office of Emergency Management will host its first Morning Coffee from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25 in the Trout Creek Conference Room, located on the first floor of the Routt County Historic Courthouse Annex Building, 136 Sixth St. in downtown Steamboat Springs. The event will be facilitated by Routt County Emergency Operations Director Mo DeMorat, Routt County Communications Manager Jason Nettles and other emergency responders.

The Morning Coffee will provide an opportunity to discuss and answer questions on emergency notifications, family and home emergency preparedness plans, disaster mitigation and how the public can participate in the county’s hazard mitigation plan update.

The goal of the event is to provide an opportunity for community members to meet with emergency operations personnel in a relaxed atmosphere and discuss emergency preparedness issues of interest to them.

No RSVP is necessary. Coffee and light refreshments will be provided.
