Routt County adoptable pets: Twitter the cat and Tyson the dog

Twitter is an 11-month-old, female tabby who came to Routt County Humane Society as a very young pregnant mother. She was a little unsure of people and the world around her, but after just eight weeks in her foster home while nursing her kittens, she has really come out of her shell and can’t wait to go home to her forever family. Twitter enjoys hanging out in her cat bed, basking in the sunshine and watching nature shows on TV. This girl was a barn cat in her former home, so she would be a good mouser as well. Twitter enjoys the company of other cats and would likely do well with a mellow dog.

Tyson is a 5-year-old chocolate lab mix who is a big ball of fun with a favorite hobby of playing fetch. He was surrendered to the animal shelter due to family hardship, but it didn’t break his optimism. Weighing in at 85 pounds, he does well with kids and dogs and would love a few human playmates, but no cats. He knows many commands and is always willing to learn more. An ideal day for Tyson would start with six double cheeseburgers, a nice walk or hike with a ball, a nap in the sunshine, some more cheeseburgers and then a movie with some popcorn.
