Routt County adoptable pets: Summer the cat and Opie the dog

This petite, 6-pound, 8-month-old female grey tabby is Summer. She is warm and incredibly sweet. Summer was found outside and not claimed by her previous family, so now she is ready for a fresh start. She is easy-going and playful and will reach up your leg when she wants attention. She has a deep love of toy mice and teaser toys. Being a young lady, she is personable and adaptable, making her a great fit for most households.

Meet Opie – a handsome 5-year-old male Labrador weighing in at 78 pounds. Opie is originally from Oklahoma and is excited about starting his new life in the mountains. This gentle soul is playful and very sweet and would love to show you his dinner dance every night. His hobbies include sharing anything you may be eating and snuggling in close for as many pets as he can get. Of course, he loves fetch and swimming too, as he is a retriever. Opie’s ideal home would be one where he is the only pet and where there are plenty of treats and kisses to go around. No cats, please. He is dog-social with medium to large sized dogs and enjoys play-dates, but he has shown his caretakers that he would prefer to be the only dog living in his home.
