Routt County adoptable pets: Maggie the cat and Beau the dog

Maggie is a 2-year-old, female domestic short-hair with soft orange eyes. She would love a home with a big family that has lots of love to spare. Maggie has always lived with dogs and would enjoy having some furry companions in her new home. She is a couch potato who likes to lay back, bask in the sunshine and take in her surroundings. She is gentle, affectionate and is sure to steal your heart and couch spot.

Age is just a number for sweet Beau, who is a 70-pound, 11-year-old male Boxer mix who recently lost his home due to no fault of his own. You would never guess he is a senior dog though as he will play fetch for as long as you’re willing to throw the ball and can keep up with dogs half his age when out on walks. The good news doesn’t stop there — he walks wonderfully on leash, is fluent in his commands, rides like a champ in the car and is friendly with dogs and people. He does love the company of his people and would likely do best in a home that spends most of their time with him or has the opportunity to take their dog to work.
