Routt County adoptable pets: Bretta the cat and Mac the dog

Sweet senior Bretta is around 12-years-old and weighs about 7-pounds. She is still full of fire and ice and will let you know if she is not happy about something. She came to the shelter as a stray in fairly rough condition, but her spirit wasn’t broken and she is healing, gaining weight and is ready to find a quiet, loving home to spend the rest of her days.

Mac is a 4-year-old pittie mix weighing 53-pounds, who had a pretty rough go of it the last couple of years, including emotional trauma and testing positive for heart worm, leaving him crate bound for months. This very special boy has made a great recovery and is ready for his forever home. Mac remains cautious of new people, but once he knows you, all he wants is to be close and get lots of butt scratches. He is smart, loves to learn new tricks and has completed the agility course at the shelter. Mac is looking for a quiet, patient, adult home ready to help him flourish with regular exercise, playtime and rehabilitation.
