Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation dedicates $3.7 million to Colorado wildlife projects

The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation is teaming up with partners to allocate $3.7 million across 33 Colorado wildlife projects statewide.

“We have more members in Colorado than any other state,” said Kyle Weaver, RMEF president and CEO. “They show how much they care for wildlife and wild landscapes by their commitment to raise this funding and also by dedicating their time and efforts to help with volunteer habitat stewardship work.”

The foundation and its partners have completed 871 conservation and hunting heritage projects in the state with a combined value of more than $207.4 million. Each project conserves or enhances natural habitats and opens or improves public access to lands.
