Beginning Monday, Aug. 14 and continuing through Tuesday, Aug. 15, Pahwintah Street will be closed north of the intersection of 8th Street, Crawford Avenue and Pahwintah for the installation of a water main.
Yahmonite is recommended as alternative route during the two-day work project being completed by Native Excavating.
On Yampa Street, a section of the core trail will be partially closed as crews continue work moving toward the Ambulance Barn.
- The 10th and Yampa parking lot will be restriped and will be closed for one day – either on Monday, Aug. 14 or Tuesday, Aug. 15, weather dependent.
- The public parking lot at Ninth and Yampa Streets will remain open in the coming weeks, however, this lot will close for a period in September and October for reconstruction.
As crews continue construction of the new Emerald Park access, roadway closures to the south of the Hampton Inn went into effect last week and remain the same. Access to the Hampton Inn will be limited to the northern approach until the middle of September. Detour signs are in place to direct motorists accordingly.
For the coming week, crews will focus on site grading, roadway embankment, utility coordination and installation of drainage improvements.
Finally, the section of Elk River Road south of U.S. Highway 40 to Curve Plaza remains closed. Travelers are advised to use Shield Drive and Curve Court as a detour route.
