STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — Revolution Enduro features a two-day, eight-stage mountain bike race Saturday and Sunday on Buffalo Pass and Steamboat Bike Park.
The race is timed based on downhill descents, but riders still have to ride uphill or to the next stage in an untimed transfer. Some stages will include chairlift or vehicle transfers.
Saturday features a 20.2-mile race on Buffalo Pass with 3,200 feet in elevation gain and loss in Stages 1 through 3. Athletes break for lunch from noon to 12:30 at Slopeside Grill after completing Stage 3.
Sunday consists of Stages 4 through 8 at Steamboat Bike Park, concluding with lunch at Slopeside Grill from noon to 2 with awards to follow at 3 p.m. The race will also include a youth category for age 10 to 13 on modified courses.
Revolution Enduro concludes its four-part series in Steamboat Springs and serves as an Enduro World Series qualifier. Riders who place in the top 30 of every race are awarded points, which are tallied up to determine the top three winners of the series in Steamboat.
