REPS to host free suicide prevention training

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — Reaching Everyone Preventing Suicide is hosting a free two-day suicide prevention training from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 23 and 24 at UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center.

The Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training, or ASIST, is an intensive certification workshop that provides practical information and skills for anyone seeking to learn what to do or say when someone they know or love might be having thoughts of suicide. The interactive program includes lecture, discussion, videos, simulations and skills practice.
