Replacement bids accepted

The city of Steamboat Springs will be receiving separate, sealed bids for the Old Town Water Main Replacement Project at 137 10th Street or P.O. Box 775088, Steamboat Springs until 1 p.m. May 31.

Bids will then be publicly read aloud. Bids received after the deadline will be returned to the bidder unopened.

The work includes replacement of a four-inch, cast iron water main with an eight-inch water main, including associated fire hydrants, gate valves and service line taps in a residential area.

A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 10 a.m. May 18 on-site at the intersection of Hill and Sixth streets.

Contractors planning to submit a bid must be represented at this meeting.

The city reserves the right to reject any and all bids and proposals and enter into a contract or issue a purchase order which, in its opinion, best serves the needs of the city of Steamboat Springs and its residents.
