Bud Werner Library is presenting a free screening of the South by Southwest Audience documentary “Remaining Native” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in Library Hall.

The screening will be followed by a question-and-answer session with the Mohawk/Oneida film director Paige Bethmann.

“Remaining Native” is a coming-of-age story told from the perspective of Kutoven Stevens, a 17-year-old Native American runner struggling to navigate his dream of becoming a collegiate athlete.

Stevens’ memory of his great-grandfather’s escape from an Indian boarding school connects his past, present and future.
