Registration open for local youth programs







Registration is open for the city of Steamboat Springs Session II Youth and Middle School Programs.

Session II runs Oct. 24 through Jan. 6 and include Afterschool Action, School Days Off, PeeWee Adventures, Kids Night Out, Middle School ASSET Clubs, Teens on Tour and ASSET Clubs.

ASSET Clubs, for students in kindergarten through fifth grade, run Oct. 24 through Dec. 21 and include Intro to Hockey, Lego Brick Building, Juggling, Learn to Skate, Indoor Rock Climbing, Tennis, The Potters Wheel and more.

The cost of clubs includes activity fees, transportation from the elementary schools, snack, supplies and supervision. Program costs are activity dependent.

Middle School ASSET Clubs include tennis, babysitter training, theater, and G.R.O.W, a mentoring program for girls.The cost of clubs includes activity fees, transportation from the middle school, snacks, supplies and supervision. Program costs are activity dependent.

Teens on Tour registration is also available. Teens on Tour is a program which allows sixth- through eighth-graders to travel outside Steamboat Springs during parent/teacher conferences to experience a variety of recreational opportunities in the region.

The group will travel to Denver Nov. 3 and 4, where they will stay in a hotel and visit Casa Bonita, Boondocks and the Colorado Mills Mall.
