Recovery Friendly Workplace webinar set for Sept. 26

The Health Partnership will host a free, virtual Recovery Friendly Workplace educational webinar from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sept. 26 to help promote employee well-being and foster a culture of recovery and support in workplaces across the Yampa Valley.

Organizers hope businesses and organizations in the Yampa Valley will register for the lunchtime webinar presented by the nonprofit to learn how to become a Recovery Friendly Workplace, which is a way to invest in employees, attract and retain loyal and trustworthy employees and save a business or organization money.

According to the Colorado Recovery Friendly Workplace Toolkit, in 2020, substance use cost U.S. employers and taxpayers $696 billion in absenteeism, low productivity and health care costs. Recovery Friendly Workplaces encourage a healthy, safe and productive work environment where employers, employees and communities can collaborate to create positive change and eliminate barriers for those impacted by addiction.

Webinar registration is available online under the Events tab on The Health Partnership website at
