Purse stolen in park: The Record for Sunday, July 8, 2018

12:03 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies and the Steamboat Springs Police Department received a vehicle complaint regarding a vehicle seen at the intersection of Ninth Street and Lincoln Avenue. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers made contact with the vehicle. The driver, a 24-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of DUI and possession of a controlled substance. The man also received traffic summons for an open alcohol container and weaving.

2:27 a.m. Officers were called to an incident in the 500 block of Anglers Drive. A man was attempting to get into the wrong house. He was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct and obstructing a peace officer.

4:56 a.m. Officers were called to a suspicious incident at a hotel in the 3000 block of South Lincoln Avenue. A person reported a man screaming. Officers were unable to locate the man.

7:58 a.m. Officers were called to a report of criminal mischief in the 800 block of Pamela Lane. A car’s windows were smashed.

8:21 a.m. Officers were called to a report of criminal mischief in the 2400 block of Ski Trail Lane. A sliding glass door was broken. Officers determined the incident was not the result of a crime.

4:21 p.m. Officers were called to a reported theft in Dr. Rich Weiss Park. A purse was stolen off the grass.
