Projects up for approval

At its meeting tonight, the Oak Creek Town Board is scheduled to hear presentations from several town residents about proposed construction projects that require town approval.

Oak Creek Mayor Kathy “Cargo” Rodeman said residents proposing projects are scheduled to appear before Town Board members. Each resident met with the town’s Planning Commission on Wednesday. The Planning Commission also is scheduled to give the Town Board a recommendation regarding the approval of each project, she said.

The residents proposing projects include a married couple that needs a lot line variance to continue building a home, a woman requesting a re-plat to make two parcels out of a joint property and a man who needs a lot line variance to build a carport.

In other business, the Town Board is scheduled to:

– Approve meeting minutes from July 13 and July 27.

– Accept a memorandum of agreement with Oak Creek residents Tony Morgan and Wendy Fletcher regarding their mobile home. Morgan has agreed to sign an agreement that will force him to remove his mobile home from its current lot by July 31, 2011.

– Hear from Patten Associates regarding the Darling Annexation planning proposal. Rodeman said Patten Associates has been hired to handle the annexation and will be updating the Town Board on its findings.

– Pass a resolution accepting a grant from the Colorado Department of Transportation that will allow the town to complete the Main Street Project.
