Poll: Where should the Fourth of July parade take place next year?

The Fourth of July is a time of red, white and blue celebrations, and for many, that means bringing out the fireworks. But with a firework ban placed in Steamboat Springs, we were curious to know how the community feels about this particular change.

The results to last week’s poll question are below.

Will you miss the downtown Steamboat Springs firework show during the Fourth of July?

Total Voters: 257

58% — No, fireworks can pose a forest fire threat and are a disturbance to people and animals in the area.
