— In response to the latest election season, a Political Write-In will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, at Off the Beaten Path bookstore, 68 Ninth St.

Templates and suggestions for how to write an effective letter to legislators will be given, and names and addresses of legislators will be provided, along with proofreading support, envelopes and postage.

The letters will be mailed en masse, “so that we cannot be ignored,” according to event organizer Emily Katman.

In a news release about the event, Katzman wrote that “anyone who feels frustrated, disengaged, powerless or afraid after this demoralizing and drawn-out election season: you are not alone. This is a time to join and find our allies, not retreat and accept a government that does not serve or represent our diverse local and national community.”

Everyone is welcome to participate in the event, even if they have no letter-writing experience.

For more information email ekatz@steamboatbooks.com or call 970-879-6830 and ask for Emily.
