STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — Police are searching for an unidentified man accused of inappropriately touching several women the evening of March 23 at Old Town Hot Springs.

Five adult and teenage women have come forward, claiming the man came up behind them in the pools and brushed against their backsides, according to Sgt. Jeff Wilson of the Steamboat Springs Police Department. So far, the incident has been isolated to a single night.

Officers do not know the name of the man but have a surveillance image of him that was taken at the front desk of the hot springs. Wilson estimates the man to be in his early to mid-20s. Victims described him as Hispanic or white, but it was difficult for them to give an accurate description because it was dark at the time of the incidents.

Based on the surveillance image, the suspect appears to have a patch of dark-colored facial hair on his chin.

An investigation into the man’s identity is ongoing.
