Police break up fight: The Record for Sunday, April 7

12:24 a.m. West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person who had alcohol poisoning at a bar in the 120 block of East Jefferson Avenue in Hayden.
1:50 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a fight at 11th Street and Lincoln Avenue. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to the same location to assist someone who was bleeding. A person said three men and a woman were fighting in the middle of the road, and that one man was throwing the woman down. Officers spoke to three of the people involved, who were all “highly intoxicated.” One man said he was jumped by another person. Officers gave a man and a woman a courtesy ride home, where they were released to a sober roommate. There were no charges filed
4:58 a.m. A man said another man was knocking on his door in the 1200 block of Hilltop Parkway. The man said he had nowhere to go. He left before officers arrived, and they were not able to locate him.

1:06 p.m. Officers and Steamboat firefighters were called to an unknown injury vehicle crash at Curve Court and Lincoln Avenue.
3:01 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to assist someone having a seizure at the Routt County Jail.
5:17 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a bear in the trash at Laruel and Spruce streets.
6:19 p.m. Hayden Police Department officers, Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies and West Routt firefighters were called to an unknown injury vehicle crash at a business in the 100 block of East Jefferson Avenue. A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI and DUI per se. He also received a traffic citation for careless driving causing bodily injury.
6:59 p.m. A person believed three kids were attempting to break into her home in the 2900 block of Heavenly View. It was a contractor looking at something outside of the house.

7:44 p.m. A person reported someone had broken into her office in the 1200 block of Hilltop Parkway. Nothing was missing, but items were moved.
Total incidents: 39
- Steamboat officers had 26 cases that included calls for service and officer-initiated incidents such as traffic stops.
- Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies had six cases that included calls for service and officer-initiated incidents such as traffic stops.
- Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters responded to four calls for service.
- West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters responded to three calls for service.
